what is dawah in braille?
Dawah in Braille is Al-Furqaan Foundation’s latest initiative, driven by the belief that access to Islamic knowledge is a fundamental right, and blindness does not define a person. Our aim is to empower the blind community with the opportunity to read Islamic literature in braille, giving them the same knowledge to make informed choices about Islam as sighted individuals.
We hope this project will foster more inclusive and meaningful participation among visually impaired Muslims, enabling them to engage deeply with the Ummah. Equal access to Islamic texts will not only enhance their practice but also strengthen their connection with other community members.
Starting with The Clear Quran® in Braille, a braille version of the renowned English translation of The Noble Quran, we plan to expand the Dawah in Braille initiative to include sirah books, ahadith, Islamic children’s stories, and dawah-driven pamphlets and booklets, insha Allah. We are also developing mobile apps with audiobooks – a format consumable by those without sight.
Your donation today will help fund The Clear Quran® in Braille, allowing us to distribute it to blind individuals seeking the truth at no cost to them. A complete 8-volume box set of The Clear Quran® in Braille can be sponsored for $499.
Join us in making Islam more accessible to people with visual impairments. They deserve the same access to the Truth as everyone else – please help us ensure it reaches them.
Why Should You Contribute?
Many individuals desire to connect with the teachings of the Quran but are hindered by visual impairments. Your donation will help make the Quran available to them in Braille.
Access to religious teachings offers profound emotional, spiritual, and mental support. By contributing, you are empowering the blind community to engage with their faith and deepen their spiritual connection.
How Can You Help?
Any contribution you make will support the production and distribution of the Quran in Braille, making it accessible to individuals with visual impairments at no cost to them.
Your donation goes beyond providing a book—it’s about creating a sense of inclusion and equality within the community. It’s about removing barriers and ensuring that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can experience the beauty and wisdom of the Quran.
